Last summer when we were in
Kelowna planning our wedding, we took an afternoon to tour
Mission Hill Winery. We went on a wine tour then explored the wine shop and sampled more wine!
One of the goodies we found in the wine shop was locally grown pears with star anise. We finally decided to open them for an evening snack after a killer workout.
They were crisp and delicious with a hint of licorice thanks for the star anise. I loved the unconventional flavor combination.
I almost forgot to snap a photo of the pears themselves as I was so excited to try them! I cannot believe we waited this long to eat them.
